Senci SC6000C Diesel Generator 456cc 5.5KW

The Senci SC6000C is a 5.5 kW diesel generator with a 456 cc engine, suited to site power, agricultural use and backup supply.

It sits just below the 6 kW SC8000C in the same range, and the choice between them is a sizing question rather than a quality one. Work out the worst-case simultaneous load, allow for motor starting surge, and take the rating above it — the sizing guide sets out the method.

Diesel suits regular running rather than occasional use; our diesel generator buying guide covers the trade-off against petrol. Tell us the duty and we will confirm which of the two fits.
