220 V equipment — generally workable in the UK

This unit is specified at 220 V, against UK mains of 230 V. That difference is within the tolerance of most equipment. Where the specification also shows 60 Hz, motors and timer circuits may behave differently on a 50 Hz supply — ask us if the application is sensitive to either.

Model PUD2432: a 24 x 32 in (60 x 80 cm) industrial pneumatic dual-platen heat press with auto lift and digital control. 6000 W / 8 HP, 32–750°F (0–399°C), 85 psi minimum pressure output, 15–30 minutes to heat up.

Dual platen is a throughput feature: one platen presses while the other is being loaded, which roughly doubles output against a single station for the same operator. On production sublimation work that is the whole economics of the machine.

Pneumatic pressure rather than manual clamping gives consistent, repeatable results across a run — the thing that separates commercial output from hobby equipment.

At 24 x 32 in this handles garment backs, panels and larger sublimation blanks.

Supply note: specified at 220 V, 60 Hz single phase. UK mains is 230 V at 50 Hz. The voltage is close enough to be workable, but the frequency is not the same, and 60 Hz equipment with motors or timer circuits can behave differently on a 50 Hz supply.
