The agreement

Terms of Sale

How quotations, orders, delivery and warranty work when you buy from us.

These terms apply to equipment supplied by Machinery Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at Flat 6, 12 Slade Way, Mitcham, England, CR4 2GB.

1. Quotations and orders

Nothing on this website is an offer to sell. Prices shown are indicative and products are listed for enquiry. A sale begins when you request a quotation and we issue one.

The quotation sets out the specification, the price, and the delivery cost. A contract is formed when you accept it. Unless the quotation says otherwise, it is valid for 30 days.

2. Price

Prices on product pages are indicative and may change. The price in your quotation is the price you pay. Delivery is quoted separately — see our delivery information.

3. Specification

Specifications are provided for comparison and may be based on manufacturer calculation rather than physical measurement. They are subject to change and vary with design, manufacturing and operating conditions. Where a figure matters to your application, confirm it with us before ordering.

Some equipment is specified for 110 V, 220 V or 60 Hz operation and is marked accordingly on its product page. We supply those items to trade buyers specifying them for a known application, not to consumers.

4. Warranty

Equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty. We will provide the applicable terms on request and will help you make a claim under it.

This is in addition to your legal rights, not instead of them. If you are a consumer, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are against us as the seller, and we honour them regardless of what any manufacturer’s warranty says.

5. Delivery and risk

Delivery timescales given in a quotation are estimates. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Check equipment before signing for it and note any visible damage on the delivery paperwork.

6. Cancellation and returns

If you are a consumer you have 14 days to cancel, and we pay for collection. If you are buying as a business, that right does not apply and orders are supplied against the agreed specification. Both are set out in full in returns and cancellations.

7. Use of equipment

Industrial machinery is dangerous if misused. You are responsible for ensuring equipment is installed, guarded, operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable law, including the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 where it is used at work.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including, for consumers, rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

For business customers, and subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of production or other indirect loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it.

9. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email info@machinerygroupltd.co.uk. We will acknowledge within one business day and tell you what we are doing about it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
