220 V equipment — generally workable in the UK

This unit is specified at 220 V, against UK mains of 230 V. That difference is within the tolerance of most equipment. Where the specification also shows 60 Hz, motors and timer circuits may behave differently on a 50 Hz supply — ask us if the application is sensitive to either.

Model 1700-B2: a 65 in wide format fully automatic laminator, cold and heat-assisted, with four trimmers and pneumatic pressure. 63 in maximum laminating width, 1.1 in maximum thickness, up to 158°F / 70°C, 40 ft/min.

This is the B2 variant of our 1700 series listing, taking slightly thicker material at 1.1 in against 1 in. If you laminate mounted or boarded work rather than film alone, that difference is the one to check.

Pneumatic pressure gives consistent, repeatable nip pressure across the roller width, which is what prevents silvering and edge lift on long runs.

Supply note: specified at 220 V, 60 Hz single phase. UK mains is 230 V at 50 Hz. The voltage is close enough to be workable, but the frequency is not the same, and 60 Hz equipment with motors or timer circuits can behave differently on a 50 Hz supply. Confirm with us before ordering so we can establish what your installation needs. Price excludes VAT and delivery.
