220 V equipment — generally workable in the UK

This unit is specified at 220 V, against UK mains of 230 V. That difference is within the tolerance of most equipment. Where the specification also shows 60 Hz, motors and timer circuits may behave differently on a 50 Hz supply — ask us if the application is sensitive to either.

Model 1700-B1: a 65 in wide format fully automatic laminator with cold and heat-assisted operation, four trimmers and pneumatic pressure. 63 in maximum laminating width, 1 in maximum thickness, up to 158°F / 70°C, 40 ft/min maximum speed.

Heat-assisted operation widens what the machine will handle — heat-activated films as well as cold pressure-sensitive ones — which matters if you run mixed work rather than a single film type.

Four trimmers allow multiple cuts in one pass, which is the feature that pays back on production volume rather than occasional use.

At 63 in working width this handles standard wide-format print output including vehicle graphics and large-format signage.

Supply note: specified at 220 V, 60 Hz single phase. UK mains is 230 V at 50 Hz. The voltage is close enough to be workable, but the frequency is not the same, and 60 Hz equipment with motors or timer circuits can behave differently on a 50 Hz supply.
