The Hyundai HY4500SEi is a 4 kW / 5 kVA portable inverter generator with 230 V output and electric start.

Being an inverter set, its output is conditioned rather than taken straight from the alternator, which makes it suitable for electronics that a conventional generator of this size could damage or trip. It also throttles back at part load, so it is quieter and more economical than a fixed-speed machine when the demand is light.

230 V single phase is the standard domestic and light-commercial supply in the UK, so this connects to ordinary equipment without a transformer.
