Honda 4.5KW 4500W Petrol Generator EG4500

The Honda EG4500 is an open-frame petrol generator rated at 4.5 kW, built around Honda's own engine rather than a bought-in unit. That matters more than the headline figure on a machine that will be started cold, run hard and left on a site: parts and service for Honda engines are available from almost any dealer in the country.

At 4.5 kW this suits general site power — hand tools, lighting, a small welder, or a site cabin. If any of the load contains an electric motor, size on its starting surge rather than its running figure; a compressor or pump can draw several times its rated current for the first second or two. Our sizing guide works through that calculation.

Open-frame sets are louder than a canopied machine and are intended for working sites rather than residential or event use. Tell us the loads you need to carry and we will confirm whether this rating is right before you commit.
