Hyundai 1000W Portable Petrol Inverter Generator HY1000Si

The Hyundai HY1000Si is a 1 kW portable petrol inverter generator — the smallest, most genuinely carryable class of set.

Its output is inverter-conditioned, which is what makes a generator this small worth having: it will run laptops, cameras, chargers and test equipment safely, where a conventional set of the same size would risk damaging them.

1 kW is convenience power. It will not run a power tool of any size, and it will not start a motor. Treat it as a portable mains socket for electronics rather than a working generator — and if you need to run tools, the sizing guide will show what rating you actually need.
