Hyundai DHY8000SELR 6kW Silenced Long Run Generator

The Hyundai DHY8000SELR is a 6 kW silenced diesel generator with a long-run fuel system. It is specified for the job where a petrol set is the wrong tool: running for extended periods, unattended, where refuelling every few hours is not practical.

Two things distinguish it. The acoustic canopy brings working noise down to a level that is tolerable near occupied buildings, and the extended tank lets it run through a shift or overnight without intervention. Both matter for standby and site-welfare duty. Our guide to noise and acoustic canopies covers what canopy figures actually mean in practice.

Diesel sets are rated differently from petrol ones, and the rating you need depends on whether the machine runs occasionally as backup or continuously as a primary supply — the difference between standby, prime and continuous ratings is the single most common sizing mistake we see. Send us the load and the duty and we will confirm the rating.
