60 Hz equipment — UK mains is 50 Hz

This unit is configured for 60 Hz operation; UK mains runs at 50 Hz. Heating elements and other resistive loads are largely indifferent to frequency, but motors run around 20% slower on 50 Hz and timer or control circuits can be affected. Tell us the application and we will confirm suitability before you order.

An Airman SDG400 portable generator set rated at 320 kW, Tier 4 Final emissions.

Airman sets are built for rental and construction duty — towable, robust and designed for frequent relocation rather than permanent installation. At 320 kW this covers substantial site power, events and temporary supply.

Tier 4 Final is the most recent emissions standard in this class, which matters for urban sites and low-emission zones where older plant may not legally operate. That makes a T4F set considerably more flexible about where it can work.

Confirm output voltage and frequency before ordering: much of this stock is US-sourced at 60 Hz, which is not directly compatible with a UK 50 Hz mains supply.
