Model SS3S: a heavy duty three-shank subsoiler for Category 1 and 2 three-point hitch. Shank spacing adjustable at 40 in or 48 in, shank height 38 in, overall 54.7 x 36 x 52 in.

Subsoiling fractures compacted layers — plough pans, tramlines, pan formed under heavy traffic — below the depth normal cultivation reaches. Done at the right moisture content it lifts and shatters the pan; done when wet it smears and achieves nothing.

Three shanks at adjustable spacing lets you match the implement to your tractor's power and to the degree of disruption wanted. Wider spacing needs less power per pass.

Subsoiling is among the most power-hungry operations a tractor performs. Be realistic about available horsepower and traction before specifying shank count.
